In the summer and fall of 2010, LATP has worked very closely with Nalcor Energy, Our industrial partner, and their Sub-Contractors to provide high quality on-the-job training related to the Lower Churchill development. From July until October, 53 individuals were hired by Nalcor's contractor, SNC-Lavalin, under a LATP wage subsidy for Nalcor Energy's feild program training at Muskrat Falls. When that work was finished in October 2010, 12 of the individuals were employed for smaller site investigations being carried out by a second contractor, AMEC.
