LATP'S Wage Subsidy Program for Apprentices and on-the-job training is progressing very well. We now have 20 apprentices working with various private sector companies in Labrador. LATP is presently working with a large company to hire on more than 20 apprentices, with more companies regularly coming forward intrested in the wage subsidy program. In addition, people who have completed pre-apprenticeship programs are also coming forward to enlist in the apprenticeship program to aid them in receiving their journeyperson status.
